
Guilherme S. Hummel is head mentor of EMI.
A mechanical engineer with graduate studies in information systems, he has over 17 years of experience in eHealth information and communication technologies, having worked in leading global corporations in this field.
He has taken part in the implementation of eHealth projects in Brazil and abroad, with renowned companies and institutions in the healthcare industry, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the Health Metrics Network (HMN), EFFI Capital Venture, HIMSS, Vectronics Group, Rockefeller Foundation, InterSystems, and InterComponentWare, etc.
He is a mentor in the fields of Medical Devices, eHospital, mHealth, TeleHealth, and several other eHealth Innovation verticals, supporting business development in local and global companies. He has extensive experience in building strategic solutions for eHealth players in Brazil and Latin America. Similarly, he is well known for helping local corporations enter the international medical technology markets.
Member and partner of several global healthcare technology research and assessment organizations, such as the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), and the European Health Telematics Association (EHTEL), evaluating, promoting and disseminates eHealth innovations. Also serves as Member of the Counselling Board in global companies.
In addition to being a lecturer, he writes for specialized publications, researches and guides a number of projects focused on strategic planning, new business development, offer modeling, and other vectors of interest to the public and private healthcare industry.
Through EMI, he represents Brazil in several global events and industry research groups.
